Description

last 2 pups reduced to the right homes

Our beautiful Duchess has had a perfect litter of 8 Working Cocker Spaniels’, born on 8th August,  sired by the notorious Moose of Moorsborrow Farm Gundogs.

6 girls and 2 boys all pups are thriving and healthy,  not only has Duchess and Moose produced Chocolate & tan pups, this litter is particularly rare, as there is also 4 white , chocolate and tan pups.

Both parents to Duchess ( Dam)  are health tested , and Moose ( sire) is extensively health tested, therefore there is a guarantee these pups will have no genetic dispositions. Pups will leave with vet inspection papers ( health check ) wormed, flead and microchipped. On our vet’s advise we encourage you to vaccinate your pup to prevent confusing / conflicting information on vaccinations, this also ensures pup is not double dosed on repetitive vaccinations (please confirm this information with your vet or ask for me more information) we also have the knowledge and amenities for over seas clients to purchase and bring pups abroad

Pups will be ready to leave on 3rd October, within these 8 weeks prior to leaving pups will start training, for example going to the toilet outside , recall and sit. They will also be desensitised to household and garden/ outside noise. (Other animals , jetwash, lawnmower ect. ) these pups will be intelligent confident pups by the time they leave for their forever homes, as this litter has been strategically planned, researching and  using the best stud dog which knits fantastically with our bitch.

Moose is KC registered but Duchess is not, her mother is but her father isn’t. However Duchess is a true working cocker in every aspect in looks and mentality ( as you can see ) and was health checked by our vet before pregnancy to ensure she was in peak condition for pregnancy and whelping.

3 pups are reserved (before I advised) due to Duchess’ reputation on the quality of the pups she produces.

These pups will go to 5 star homes only - knowledge of working cocker spaniels is a must.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
