Description

We do NOT dock tails.
We have 4 gorgeous, outgoing, home reared pups available. Both parents KC registered, pups names already with KC and pedigree and ownership papers here already. We have Sandaharr Scots Pine,Sandaharr Ancient Oak,Sandaharr Cherry Blossom and Sandaharr Sweet Chestnut. Names can be chosen when deposit is paid.
Grandfather to pups has left us to go and be trained as detection dog for explosives, this should give a good indication as to intelligence and drive of pups. We own both parents Willow and Spud and grandmother Dottie. Our dogs, which comprise Mastiffs,Springers and Terriers, are all super sociable and run together. Pups born in our kitchen, raised  indoors and at 5 weeks started going into their day pen until evening feeding time, then it's  playtime with two of the big housegirls, their mum and their granny!
Pups are down from excellent working lines, including Buccleugh of course.
Pups shall leave us after being vaccinated with first vaccine, will be chipped with transfer to new owner on day of collection, are already KC registered  and are up to date on worming and flea and tick treatment. Pups all have a pet puppy agreement,no puppy is endorsed and we provide our own puppy advice pack.
We are long time, very experienced  licensed breeders with South Lanarkshire Council, having had really successful visits from them at each  annual renewal. We raise the pups to be used to as many sights and sounds as possible and this includes the TV,radio or special Sounds Sociable CD playing non stop!
Photos are on the advert,no more shall be sent to timewasting photo collectors and we welcome visits to view the gang. Please PM for any other details required.

🐶 Buyer’s Checklist for Gun Dogs

Whether you’re buying, selling, or studding a dog, it’s essential to take the right steps to protect yourself—and the animals involved.

  • Always meet the dog in person at the breeder’s home or kennel—never agree to buy without seeing them first.
  • Ask to see the puppies with their Dam (mother), and the Sire (father) if available.
  • Verify all paperwork:
    • Kennel Club (KC) registration number
    • Date of birth
    • Health screening results
  • Prepare questions to ask the breeder. Some helpful ones include:
    • Did you breed the dog(s) yourself?
    • Can I see where they were bred and raised?
    • How old is the Dam, and how many litters has she had?
    • Was the birth natural or via C-section?
    • Are there any known health issues?
    • Can I see documentation for both Dam and Sire?
    • Will the puppy be vaccinated and wormed before purchase?

  • If something feels off, walk away. Don’t ignore red flags.
  • Ask for advice from a trusted third party if you’re unsure.
  • Take your time. This is a big decision—don’t rush it.

  • Puppies should appear happy, healthy, clean, and curious.
  • You should be allowed to see and handle all puppies in the litter, not just the one you're considering.
  • Never buy a puppy younger than 8 weeks old.
  • Avoid any puppies that show signs of illness—e.g. runny eyes, weakness, or diarrhoea.

  • Is the whelping pen clean?
  • Do the dogs have access to fresh water, clean food, and adequate space?
  • The living conditions can say a lot about the breeder’s standards.

  • Ensure you receive the KC registration form and all relevant documents at the time of payment.
  • Write up a simple contract to protect both buyer and seller—especially important in case circumstances change.
  • Never agree to buy a puppy in a car park or public place. Always go to the breeder's premises.
