Absolutely thrilled to announce our working springer spaniel bitch Poppy has had a fantastic litter of pups to FTCH Brocklinton Bertie!

These pups are purposely bred to be out in the field working, poppy is and has been a fantastic all round dog for beating, on peg and rough shooting there’s nothing she’s not good at or phased by. She takes everything you throw at her and more, very laid back when needs to be but will switch on and hunt at the click of your fingers and face the thickest cover to lift of retrieve birds.

Everyone who knows spaniels knows the sire…Bertie, an incredible dog in the field and in the trailing world, he has accomplished so much:

• Novice win (2018) – Woodland at Errol Park
• First Open win (2019) – Mixed cover at Nethertilly
• Made up to FTCh (2020) – Woodland at Balbirnie Estate
• Qualified for the 2022 Championships – Glenogle Estate, running in rashes on rabbits
• Two strong runs, including three off-the-nose finds and a cast retrieve, earning a Diploma of Merit
• Oldest male dog in the 2022 Championship at just over 6½ years old
• Qualified for the 2023 Championships – Again demonstrating his consistency and ability
• Oldest dog in the 2023 Championship at just over 7½ years old

Bertie has already sired award-winning offspring, praised for their trainability, game-finding ability, and biddable nature—true reflections of sire.

Our pups have had the best start and are docked, microchipped and had both inoculations ready to leave and start their new lives from now
